For visitors, a knife show is more than just going to look at the knives; it is also a chance to meet their favorite maker. For us exhibitors, it is always great to see old friends and meet new makers or customers. Sometimes years go by, but one way or another, you will find old friends or makers you thought had stopped [making knives]. That is the great, beautiful side of the knife community. What I personally experience is that knifemakers with a longer career usually bring new knife makers and introduce them to the others. That shows that the knife making profession is still a living art.

In the near future, we at the Goibniu blog will introduce some portraits of knife makers to our knife-loving readers.
