Manufacture de coutellerie Cognet

Goibniu presents the mythical Douk-Douk, made by "Manufacture de coutellerie Cognet" since 1929 in Thiers. But the company existed earlier; it was founded in 1835 (so in 10 years, they will celebrate their bicentennial). This year marks their 190th year of existence. Then you can truly say they know how to make knives and that the Douk-Douk is truly a legend.
The model shown in the pictures has an orange handle and a blade made of 14C28N steel. When open, the knife measures 200 mm. The handle is made of one piece of steel folded around the spring that keeps the blade in place when opened. The handle is available in five different colors. The structure and colors are chosen by the sons of Douk-Douk and are made in a limited edition.
In the links below, you will find two links; one takes you to the website where you can find this model, and the second leads to the site where you will find the traditional models and the history of the manufactory.
When you are a real die-hard knife collector, it is a must to have Cognet family knives in your collection. You can find the Douk-Douk in many knife stores and shops or online. I believe you can even find them in every shop in Thiers, but unfortunately, you cannot visit the factory.
In all the tradition and history of this knife, the Goibniu rates this knife with: ####/#####
As always, follow your country's rules and respect the law.
Do not forget: knives are tools with sharp edges.
