An easy-sharpening tool

The Worksharp field sharpener: An easy-sharpening tool that fits in a cargo pocket or jacket pouch, used to sharpen knives (plain edge and serrations), fishhooks, and axes. It has two removable diamond plates: one coarse (220 grit) and one fine (600 grit). A leather strop and two ceramic rods are included—one small for serrations and one larger, turnable rod. (See picture: red button—C for coarse, F for fine, and a fishhook symbol for yes indeed, fishhook).

The side with the lanyard hole is the side you hold. Using the 20° angle guide, move your blade toward and away from you on the grit you choose. Move the sharp part toward and away from you. On the strop, glide the edge away from you; otherwise, you will cut the leather. The sharpener in the picture has already been used for a while and still functions great. When you use it often, not just outdoors but also indoors, for sharpening all your blades, you will find replacement parts on their website. It is a small but great tool. But it is not built to sharpen all your doll knives and other cutting tools; for that, Worksharp has other tools that you can find on their website. You will also find videos of how to use their tools.

All in all, it is something you should have in your kit.
