Germany

Handmade in Europe? Yes, it can, and with great honor and quality.
Axes made in Germany. The story started in 1919 when, after the First World War, Mr. Josef Schmitt helped his father build a new forge. Some years passed, and in 1930 the Adler brand was launched. More than a hundred years later, the business is still in the hands of the same family. The fourth generation already, and Tobias Schmitt is his name.
Goibniu could take his hand to two of their models: the Yankee hatchet and the short splitter. The Yankee, a small hatchet made from C60 steel with a U.S. hickory handle, is perfect for preparing kindling wood. And the short splitter, with the same wood as the handle but with a 40C steel head, is really a big help when you have to split logs that don't fit in the stove. Both models come with a red/black or green/black handle, and the splitter has a protective plate under the axe head to protect the handle. They also come with a leather sheath to protect the edge of the axe.
In the link, you will find the brand's website, where you will see that they have other models and gardening tools. The two models we tested easily earned a high rating. They come with a very sharp edge, and the splitter is specially built to split logs easily. The Yankee you can use on a camping trip or when you go on an adventure.
