N. Sutter Knives

The WHO? No, not the television series nor the rock band. No, it is a folding knife designed by Numa Sutter, a Swiss designer and artist with a professional military career and extensive travel experience. Quercus is the scientific name for the oak tree. But in this situation, it is the name for a strong, robust knife that screams, "Use me!" It is the ideal tool for law enforcement and the military. With its D2 steel blade, a G10 handle scale in olive drap and a steel frame lock, it is a no-nonsense user. The idea was to create a knife that is usable for soldiers and adventurers. The choice of materials has its impact on the customer's price. You could go for a titanium frame and an exotic blade steel, but then I find it normal that you have to pay double or more.

And I must say, mission accomplished. I used the knife for more than a year and I'm 90% satisfied. In the field, it kept going, and that is, for me, the most important thing. I would choose another steel of the same value, but it's not my design nor my knife.
As I told you before, the knife is sturdy, the blade is tough (D2 steel), and the handle is sturdy.
* D2: C: 1.50-1.60; V: 0.90-1.10; Cr: 11.50-12.00;
Mo: 0.60-0.90; Mn: 0.15-0.45; P: 0.00-0.03;
S: 0.00-0.03; Si: 0.10-0.40
This is the composition of the steel.
So I can stand behind the product.
